Our Works
We Take Comprehensive Approaches to Prevention, Protection, and Empowerment
Prevention Programs
Shakti Samuha’s prevention initiatives focus on reducing vulnerability to trafficking by raising awareness, strengthening community resilience, and promoting safe migration practices.
Key Activities:
Community awareness campaigns and orientation programs
Cross-border interaction programs (especially Nepal–India border areas)
Legal counseling and support services
Education support for children (school supplies, engagement programs)
Interception and support for at-risk individuals at transit points
These programs engage communities especially women, youth, and marginalized groups to build knowledge about trafficking risks and prevention strategies. With over 4,200 participants involved in prevention activities, the approach emphasizes early intervention and community ownership of anti-trafficking efforts.
Protection and Rehabilitation Programs
Shakti Samuha provides direct support to survivors through a network of safe shelters and rehabilitation services.

Long-term reintegration support
Operating in alignment with Nepal Government guidelines, these programs offer holistic care from rescue to reintegration. Survivors receive not only immediate protection but also structured support to rebuild their lives with dignity. For example, hundreds of individuals have been reintegrated into families with ongoing follow-up and mediation support.
Livelihood Support
Shakti Samuha supports survivors in achieving financial independence through income-generating activities.
Key Interventions:
Small business support (grocery shops, tailoring, dairy farming)
Agricultural support (goat rearing, lemon farming)
Vocational entrepreneurship development
By providing seed funding, training, and ongoing support, these programs help survivors establish sustainable livelihoods. Economic empowerment is critical for reducing vulnerability to re-trafficking and enabling long-term reintegration into society with dignity.
Capacity Building
Capacity-building initiatives aim to empower survivors and strengthen institutional effectiveness.
Key Activities:
Skills training (e.g., beauty parlour, vocational skills)
Psychosocial and parenting training
Leadership and confidence-building programs
Policy development and organizational strengthening
Exposure visits and learning exchanges
These programs equip survivors with practical skills and knowledge, enabling them to become self-reliant and active contributors to society. Capacity building also strengthens Shakti Samuha’s internal systems and enhances the leadership role of survivors within the organization.
