Samjhana (name changed) a survivor of 17 years, feels very happy after receiving the basic knowledge on legal rights and legal provision in current law. Samjhana and other 24 survivors and beneficiaries were benefited from the orientation conducted by Shakti Samuha.

Mr. Dilip Koirala (legal and training coordinator) had facilitated to the participants, participants were effectively participates to know about the current provisions in law and security of survivors in prosecution process.

Mr. koirala said- ‘Shakti Samuha never force to register case file but before that we provide legal orientation and legal counseling to them, if then they are ready, we do legal support to get justice.’ Shakti Samuha has been conducting these kinds of orientation and life skill training to the beneficiaries of the rehabilitation centre. Currently SS has been running 5 shelters homes where more than 60 survivors are taking services through it. The documentary Juneli ‘the light’ was also shown in the meantime, Juneli is the movie based on real story of survivor produced by Shakti Samuha. ‘When I watched this movie I could not stop my tears, but later I feel happy because she could able to return back to her home and the sinner were sent to the jail and Junleli continued her study and working in Shakti Samuha. I want to be same as like Juneli. This is the story of mine too.’- A survivor sharing her feelings after watching the documentary movie.
