Kausila reintegrated in her own family

16 years old Kausila (Name has been changed to protect her privacy right) was born in Nuwakot district (address has been changed).  She belongs to the ethnic community and from lower class family. She got married in the influence of friend at the age of 14 but she didn’t stay with her husband. She stayed at the maternal house to help her father. One day she found a missed call come from the unknown phone number when she called back, the phone receiver introduced as Raju and later on, he used to call her many times. They had the friendship through the telephonic conversation and he lured her saying he has relatives in India & he has a very nice job over there. She gets influenced by him and one day when she was coming to Kathmandu to meet her elder sister but he found her on the way to Kathmandu. Then after that, she went India with him but he took him to the brothels for sex slavery.

After some time, she was rescued by Indian police & she stayed in one organization then she repatriated from India with the coordination of Shakti Samuh. After coming in Nepal she received shelter support, health support, counselling support, legal support etc. from Shakti Samuha. It took many months her to come out from psycho-social problem after the sessions of counselling.  Now her legal case is running in Dehli District court, she is very much fresh & participated in various recreational activities for healing, she also took cook training.

Recently Kausila has been reintegrated to her family. Before the reintegration, family counselling, risk assessment, home assessment was conducted by Shakti Samuha and she has already received the training on conceptual clarity on human trafficking and its basic legal procedure, she is now aware on the risk of trafficking and other kinds of violence. The protection team of Shakti Samuha conducts regular follow up to her for her progress. Now she says “I want to forget my past as a bad dream and want to settle in my own village, and I will do some small economic activities. I faced bad experience but I wish no one would face such problem”- she added.
