KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) decided to present this year’s Dayaram Pariyar Human Rights Memorial Award to rights activist Charimaya Tamang and journalist Shyam Sundar Shashi.

This was announced amidst a programme organised by the Commission commemorating Pariyar’s 10th memorial day. The award will be presented on coming May 26, the establishment day of the constitutional human rights body, according to NHRC Spokesperson Mohna Ansari.
