Dayaram Pariyar Memorial Human Rights Award – 2016 to Ms. Charimaya Tamang

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has honored to Ms. Charimaya Tamang, founder member and current program coordinator of Shakti Samuha with this year’s Dayaram Pariyar Memorial Human Rights Award for being involved in fighting against Human trafficking form 2 decades. The award was set up in the name of Dayaram Pariyar, a human rights officer at National Human Rights Commission, who was shot dead by Nepal Police personnel ahead of Janaandolan-II. This honor is dedicated to Ms. Charimaya tamang on the occasion of 16^th anniversary of NHRC.
